AMD and OpenAI signed a multi-year deal for OpenAI to deploy 6 GW of AMD Instinct GPUs across several chip generations, starting with 1 GW of MI450 chips in the second half of 2026. AMD also gave OpenAI a warrant for up to 160 million AMD shares that vests in tranches as deployments scale up.
