NuScale and UAMPS cancel the Carbon Free Power Project in Idaho

NuScale and UAMPS terminated the Carbon Free Power Project, the planned first NuScale SMR deployment, because insufficient utility members were willing to subscribe to the project to make it economically viable. The cancellation left NuScale without a lead US commercial project.

• UAMPS and NuScale could not secure enough subscription from participating utilities to justify continued development
• After significant joint efforts by both parties to advance the project, insufficient market commitment made continuation impractical
