Kairos Power breaks ground on Hermes 2 demonstration plant at Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant

Kairos Power broke ground on the Hermes 2 demonstration plant at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant (K-33 site) in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The 50-MWe reactor will be the first commercial-scale deployment of Kairos's KP-FHR technology and is expected to start providing power by 2030.
