Kairos and Materion commission a plant in Ohio to make high-purity FLiBe salt for Hermes

Kairos Power and Materion commissioned a Molten Salt Purification Plant in Elmore, Ohio to produce FLiBe, a coolant mixture of lithium and beryllium fluoride salts used in Kairos's fluoride-salt-cooled reactors. Materion called it the largest FLiBe facility ever built, supplying Kairos's test unit and the Hermes demonstration reactor.
