Kairos finalises a DOE contract for HALEU to make Hermes's first fuel load

Kairos finalised a DOE agreement to receive HALEU, uranium enriched to 5-20%, for the first fuel load of Hermes 1. Kairos will manufacture HALEU TRISO fuel pebbles with Los Alamos National Laboratory; the DOE is investing up to $303M in Hermes through its Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program.
