At the 2024 VLSI Symposium Intel presented Pando Tree, a control chip that sits at the coldest stage of the fridge and fans signals out to up to 64 qubit terminals. It pairs with the 4-kelvin Horse Ridge II chip, so far fewer wires need to run into the fridge as qubit counts grow.
