Helion and steelmaker Nucor agreed to develop a 500 MWe fusion plant at a Nucor steel site in the US, targeted for 2030, with Nucor investing $35M in Helion to support the effort. The plant would supply baseload carbon-free power directly to Nucor's steelmaking operations.
