HCLTech and Anthropic sign a global partnership to deploy governed agentic AI for enterprises

HCLTech and Anthropic signed a Global Premier Partnership on October 12 to help large enterprises move agentic AI from experiments to safe, governed deployment. HCLTech will set up a dedicated Anthropic business unit and a center of excellence that builds agent solutions in secure sandbox environments.

  • HCLTech's Anthropic unit will use forward-deployed engineers to run Claude deployments in secure sandboxes.
  • HCLSoftware will embed Claude into products including HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan; HCLTech will add Claude and Claude Code to its AI Force platform for IT support and code fixes.
  • Workflows get policy guardrails, exception handling and human oversight for high-impact changes.
  • The release gives no numeric targets or rollout dates; HCLTech reports more than 223,000 people in 60 countries and $14.8 billion in revenue for the 12 months to June 2026.
