Haven-1's thermal control system is integrated and its in-house Hall thruster begins vacuum testing
Vast integrated Haven-1's thermal control system in June 2026 and began vacuum-chamber testing of its in-house electric Hall thruster, which uses electric fields to accelerate charged gas for thrust. The commercial space station was targeted to launch in early 2027.
- Thermal control system integrated; uses additively manufactured cold plates for direct avionics heat rejection
- Hall thruster: in-house designed electric propulsion using electric fields to accelerate charged gas
- Vacuum-chamber testing validates thruster performance for space operations
- Haven-1 launch targeted for Q1 2027; multi-module Haven-2 successor envisioned as ISS successor
