Ford announces BlueCruise next-generation; 30% cheaper to make, with ramp automation in 2027
At CES 2026, Ford revealed plans for a next-generation BlueCruise system costing 30 percent less to manufacture than current technology. The system debuts in 2027 on the Universal EV Platform and will handle on- and off-ramp navigation autonomously, enabling fully hands-free highway trips. Eyes-off Level 3 autonomy is targeted for 2028.
