Ford commits $2B to Louisville Assembly Plant for Electric Vehicle production
Ford announced $2B investment in Louisville Assembly Plant retooling and $3B for BlueOval Battery Park Michigan. The combined $5B will secure 2,200 jobs at Louisville and create 4,000 total across both plants. The plant will shift from 70 years of gas-vehicle production to manufacture the new midsize electric pickup, tooled to launch in 2027.
