Ford announces a Michigan LFP plant using CATL-licensed technology
Ford announced a $3.5B LFP battery plant in Marshall, Michigan, where a Ford subsidiary will manufacture cells using LFP know-how and services licensed from CATL. The plant is planned at approximately 35 GWh annual capacity with production starting in 2026.
