First robotic shoulder replacements with CORI SHOULDER done at Duke Health

Ahead of the AAOS 2026 meeting, Smith+Nephew said a Duke Health team led by Dr. Christopher Klifto had completed the first CORI SHOULDER cases the week before. The handheld robot prepares both the upper-arm bone and the shoulder socket for the company's AETOS implant.
- Covers both sides of the shoulder joint: humerus and glenoid.
- Used with the AETOS Shoulder System.
- Makes CORI a hip, knee and shoulder platform.
