DREAMS-1 Phase 3 trial shows superior glycemic control with mazdutide in type 2 diabetes

Innovent announced successful DREAMS-1 Phase 3 results for mazdutide in Chinese adults with type 2 diabetes. At the 6 mg dose, mazdutide achieved 2.15% HbA1c reduction and 7.81% weight loss at week 24, significantly outperforming placebo and demonstrating the dual GLP-1/GCGR mechanism's advantage.

• DREAMS-1 enrolled 320 Chinese adults with inadequate glycemic control on diet and exercise alone.
• Mazdutide 6 mg showed 2.15% HbA1c reduction versus 0.14% for placebo; 64.9% of the 6 mg group achieved HbA1c <7% with ≥5% weight loss.
• Safety profile favorable; mostly mild-to-moderate gastrointestinal side effects and low hypoglycemia incidence.
