Credo unveils ZeroFlap optical modules with built-in telemetry, aimed at AI-network link flaps

Credo TechnologyZeroFlap optical transceivers

At the 2025 OCP Global Summit, Credo showed optical modules with built-in telemetry and diagnostics designed to stop links from repeatedly dropping, alongside 1.6T copper cables running 224G per lane in a fully cabled NVIDIA Rubin Ultra rack.

  • 1.6T ZeroFlap AECs at 224G per lane shown cabling a Rubin Ultra NVL576 'Kyber' rack.
  • Bluebird DSP lets 1.6T transceivers run well under 20 W; Lark 850 powers 800G modules under 10 W.
  • Toucan PCIe Gen6 retimers: sub-7 ns latency at 11 W.
  • Credo CEO Bill Brennan and an Oracle Cloud network engineer were booked to speak on optical reliability.
