Chainlink CCIP launches on mainnet in early access

Chainlink Labs/Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP)

Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), a standard for moving tokens and messages between blockchains, went live in early access on Avalanche, Ethereum, Optimism and Polygon. Synthetix used it at launch for cross-chain token transfers, and Aave was integrating it for governance.

• Early-access launch: 17 July 2023 on Avalanche, Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon.
• Testnet: expanded 20 July 2023.
• Early adopters: Synthetix live with Synth Teleporter for liquidity transfers; Aave integrating via BGD Labs for cross-chain governance.
• Enterprise interest: Swift and 10+ financial institutions exploring CCIP for capital markets.
