CCIP v1.6 goes live, adding Solana support and cutting user costs

CCIP v1.6 went live with its first non-EVM chain, Solana, linked to Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Optimism, and Sonic. The upgrade batches messages from multiple chains into single execution and shifts from lane-based to chain-based architecture, supporting 57+ chains with plans to scale to hundreds.

• First non-EVM blockchain support; CCIP becomes VM-agnostic, enabling future Move-based and other chains.
• Message batching across source chains reduces user costs as volume scales.
