Centrus Energy signed a $900 million task order with the Department of Energy for commercial-scale HALEU enrichment capacity expansion at Piketon. With options for up to $170 million in HALEU purchases, the total contract value can reach $1.07 billion. The facility targets 12 metric tons of HALEU per year, with first new capacity online by 2029.
