CATL launches Shenxing, an LFP cell it says supports 4C fast charging

CATL launched Shenxing, claimed as the world's first 4C fast-charging LFP battery, supporting 400 km of range from a 10-minute charge and over 700 km per full charge. Mass production was scheduled for end of 2023 with market launch in Q1 2024.

• Over 700 km driving range on single full charge using LFP chemistry
• Advanced cathode, graphite surface modifications and new electrolyte formula enable rapid lithium movement while maintaining safety
