Carbon Robotics adds new LaserWeeder capabilities to meet global demand
Carbon Robotics introduced the Track LaserWeeder, a tracked variant allowing operation on soft muck soils earlier in the season with row spacings of 64 to 90 inches. The company also added field mapping and spatial data intelligence features in its Ops Center software showing crop and weed counts, density, sizes and distribution; customers had logged over 50,000 hours across 100+ crops the prior year.
- Track LaserWeeder: custom track system with 6.5 psi ground pressure enables early-season entry into challenging muck soils
- Row spacing: compatible with 64–90 inch spacing, replacing work equivalent to a 75-person hand-weeding crew
- Ops Center software: new spatial data intelligence showing field, crop and weed metrics—stand count, density, type, average size and distribution
- Usage: customers operated LaserWeeders 50,000+ hours across 100+ crop types in prior year, indicating strong adoption
