BYD unveils its Super e-Platform with charging at up to 1,000 kW

BYDSuper e-Platform

BYD launched its Super e-Platform on March 17, 2025, pairing batteries accepting 1,000 A (10C rate) with new silicon-carbide power chips reaching 1 megawatt charging power. Five minutes of charging delivers 400 km of range—the fastest for a mass-produced car—supported by a full-domain 1,000V architecture and the world's first mass-produced 30,000 RPM motor.

  • Flash Charging Battery at 10C rate; all-domain 1000V architecture; 1,000A current and 1,000V voltage rated as world records
  • First mass-produced 30,000 RPM motor reduces weight and size; top speed over 300 km/h; supports sub-three-second 0-60 in performance variants
  • Paired silicon-carbide chips rated to 1,500V; all-liquid-cooled charging terminal with 1,360 kW output; Han L and Tang L are first models
