BYD says all its battery-electric cars will use Blade LFP batteries
BYD said every pure-electric model it sells would use its Blade battery, a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pack that passed a nail-penetration test without catching fire. Four models launched with it in China: the Tang EV, Qin PLUS EV, Song PLUS EV and e2. BYD had first fitted the Blade pack to the Han sedan in July 2020.
