Amkor announced Phase 2 expansion six months after Phase 1 groundbreaking, doubling planned cleanroom space to 93,000 sqm. The expansion reflects strong customer commitments from Apple and Nvidia that exceeded initial Phase 1 capacity of 33,000 sqm. Total investment increased from initial $7 billion to $12 billion. Phase 2 construction begins late 2027, completion 2029, creating 3,500+ jobs total.
