US investigated Bitmain machines as a possible national-security risk, Bloomberg reports
A Homeland Security probe called Operation Red Sunset examined whether Bitmain's mining machines could be remotely controlled for spying or to disrupt the US power grid, including chip and firmware checks at ports. Bitmain said it follows US law and called remote-control claims false; the findings have not been made public.
