US Air Force picks Anduril and General Atomics for CCA Increment 1 design and build

The US Air Force chose Anduril as one of two vendors, alongside General Atomics, to move forward in its Collaborative Combat Aircraft program. In the next phase Anduril will design, manufacture and test production-representative uncrewed combat aircraft meant to fly alongside crewed fighters.
- Anduril's design based on the Fury platform, acquired through Blue Force Technologies in September 2023
- General Atomics based its proposal on the experimental XQ-67A platform, which completed first flight February 28, 2024
- Air Force on track to make competitive production decision in fiscal year 2026, field capability before decade end
- Full-scale mockups of both designs featured at Air Force Association's Air, Space & Cyber Conference 2024
