On April 21, 2022 Upside Foods closed a $400 million Series C led by Temasek and Abu Dhabi Growth Fund, valuing it at over $1 billion. The money was for a commercial-scale plant, a cheaper cell-feed supply chain and R&D, and was the largest round in cultivated meat at the time.
