Tropic Biosciences launches the first gene-edited bananas in North America

Tropic commercially launched its non-browning banana varieties in the US and Canada, the first CRISPR-edited food crop grown at commercial scale and sold to consumers. The launch included both the non-browning variety and an extended shelf-life variety designed to reduce transport waste.
