TMC signs contract with Allseas to build and run a 3 Mt/yr commercial nodule collection system

TMC and Allseas signed a contract to develop and operate the first commercial nodule collection system in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone. Two tracked collectors will feed the ship Hidden Gem through a riser, and Allseas will fund much of the development cost, recovering it from production revenue.

  • Nameplate capacity 3 million wet tonnes a year.
  • Commissioning targeted for Q4 2027, subject to permits.
  • Subcontract awards expected by end of Q3 2026.
