NOAA opens 60-day public comment on TMC USA's commercial recovery application

NOAA said TMC USA's application meets the information requirements of the deep seabed mining law and opened a 60-day public comment period. A virtual hearing is set for October 13 and comments close October 19, 2026, before certification and an environmental impact statement.
