Starship reaches orbit on Flight 14 and deploys all 26 Starlink V3 satellites

SpaceXStarlink

On 28 September 2026 Starship Flight 14 reached orbit for the first time and released all 26 Starlink V3 satellites. It was the first flight to carry Starlink satellites to orbit on the vehicle. An engine problem on ascent cut the planned flight of about 10 hours to about 3 hours.

  • All 26 Starlink V3 satellites were deployed after the flight reached orbit.
  • One Raptor vacuum engine on the upper stage shut down early during ascent, so the other five burned longer to compensate.
  • The mission was ended after about 3 hours for safety, instead of the planned 10 hours.
