SpaceX announces an option to acquire Anysphere for $60B
SpaceX announced a deal giving it the right to acquire Cursor (Anysphere) for $60 billion later in 2026, or else pay $10 billion for joint work. SpaceX exercised the purchase right in June 2026, and the acquisition closed on August 14, 2026, converting Anysphere shares into 389 million SpaceX Class A shares at an implied $60 billion equity value. Cursor continues as a SpaceX subsidiary integrated into SpaceXAI.
