SemiAnalysis reports NVIDIA's Kyber rack for Rubin Ultra slipping to 2028 on manufacturing problems
Research firm SemiAnalysis reported that NVIDIA's Kyber rack, built to house 2027's Rubin Ultra chips, has slipped more than a year to 2028 because of yield problems making its 78-layer circuit-board midplane, the backbone of its all-copper chip-to-chip links. A stopgap two-rack design was reportedly cancelled; NVIDIA replied that its roadmap was intact.
