SanDisk spins off from Western Digital as independent public company on Nasdaq
SanDisk became an independent public company on February 21, 2025, when Western Digital completed the spin-off of its flash memory business. Regular trading on Nasdaq began February 24, 2025 under ticker SNDK. Western Digital retained a 19.9% stake but divested most of it by February 2026.
