Rocket Lab opens Neutron's Launch Complex 3 at Wallops, Virginia
Rocket Lab officially opened Launch Complex 3 at Wallops Island on August 28, the test, launch and landing site for its reusable Neutron rocket. Built in under two years, the pad features a 700-ton launch mount, water deluge tower and propellant tank farm, readying Wallops for Neutron operations.
- Official opening: August 28, 2025 at Virginia Space Authority's Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport.
- Construction: less than two years from start (late 2023) to completion.
- Facility includes: 700-ton launch stand (not tower), water deluge system, propellant infrastructure.
