Rivian began R2 deliveries on June 9, 2026, starting with the Performance Launch Edition at $57,990. Early R2s ship with Gen 2 autonomy hardware only; the advanced Gen 3 ACM3 with RAP1 processor and hands-free highway driving is planned for late 2026, followed by lidar integration in 2027.
