Refreshed Aito M8 opens pre-sales at ¥389,800 with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 as standard

Aito opened pre-sales for its updated M8 large SUV, the first major product after Seres took the lead on the brand. Every version gets Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 driver assistance and an 800-volt system, with battery-electric and range-extender options. The refresh arrives as the previous M8's monthly sales had slumped.

• Pre-sale price from ¥389,800, ¥30,000 above the previous starting price
• Up to 830 km CLTC range (battery-electric) or 1,435 km combined (range extender)
• Seres says it invested ¥1.5 billion in the upgrade
• Previous M8 passed 180,000 deliveries, but sold only 1,435 in August 2026
