Pfizer signs research collaboration to apply Gero's platform to fibrotic disease targets
GeroAging-target antibodies (with Chugai)
Pfizer agreed to use Gero's machine-learning platform and large human health datasets to look for new targets in fibrotic diseases. Gero received an upfront payment and can earn discovery milestones; Pfizer handles any preclinical and clinical development. It was the first big-pharma validation of Gero's approach.
- Focus: genes and pathways behind fibrosis
- Gero gets an upfront payment plus discovery milestones
- Pfizer runs all later preclinical and clinical work
- Gero says its model separates irreversible aging from reversible disease
