North Carolina to host MetOx HTS wire factory with $193.7M investment and 333 jobs

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced that MetOx will invest $193.7M to build a major HTS wire manufacturing facility in Chatham County, creating 333 jobs. The facility will have five times the capacity of MetOx's Houston plant and is expected to begin operations in 2026, funded in part by the $80M DOE Project Arch grant.
