NextEra and Dominion Energy agree a $67B all-stock merger
NextEra agreed to combine with Dominion Energy in a roughly $67 billion all-stock deal, with NextEra holders owning 74.5% of the result. The combined company would run 14 reactors at eight plants, making it the second-largest US nuclear generator. NextEra CEO John Ketchum would chair and lead it; closing is expected 12 to 18 months after the announcement.
