NEJM publishes REDEFINE 1 and REDEFINE 2: 20.4% weight loss in obesity and 13.7% with type 2 diabetes at 68 weeks
NEJM published Novo's two main Phase 3 trials of CagriSema, a weekly semaglutide plus amylin-analogue shot. REDEFINE 1 (3,417 adults with obesity) showed 20.4% weight loss at 68 weeks versus 3.0% on placebo; REDEFINE 2 (1,206 with type 2 diabetes) showed 13.7% versus 3.4%. Gastrointestinal side effects were common but mostly mild.
