NACS becomes North American standard (SAE J3400); Stellantis adopts for 2026+ models with Supercharger access

TeslaSupercharger Network / NACS Standard

NACS (Tesla's original North American Charging Standard) was formalized as the SAE J3400 industry standard. Stellantis announced native NACS adoption for 2026+ battery-electric vehicles including Jeep Wagoneer S, Dodge Charger Daytona and 2026 Jeep Recon, gaining access to 28,000+ Tesla Supercharger locations starting early 2026. The connector is more compact than CCS1 while supporting comparable 250 kW charging speeds.

  • NACS officially designated SAE J3400 as North American EV standard.
  • Supercharger network now open to non-Tesla EVs via native NACS ports.
  • Stellantis 2026+ models (Jeep, Dodge) gain access to 28,000+ Superchargers.
  • NACS connector more compact than CCS1, supports up to 250 kW charging.
