Moeve orders 300 MW of thyssenkrupp nucera electrolysers for Southern Europe's largest green hydrogen plant

Spanish energy company Moeve signed a contract with thyssenkrupp nucera for 15 standard 20 MW alkaline electrolyser units for Onuba, the first phase of its Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley in Huelva. Moeve took its final investment decision in early March 2026; the plant is to make about 45,000 tonnes of hydrogen a year.

• 300 MW in total, from 15 identical 20 MW modules.
• Contract covers engineering, procurement, fabrication and supply.
• Moeve says the plant will cut about 250,000 tonnes of CO2 a year.
