Midea Group completes acquisition of KUKA, acquiring 94.55% stake

Chinese appliance and industrial automation manufacturer Midea Group completed its acquisition of Germany's KUKA industrial robotics company, acquiring a 94.55% stake in January 2017. The acquisition gave Midea access to KUKA's premium industrial robot technology and customer base, while providing KUKA with manufacturing scale and expanded access to the Chinese market.
