Mercedes-Benz achieves 1,205 km range in real-world road test with Factorial solid-state battery

Mercedes-Benz completed a 1,205 km road test of a modified EQS prototype equipped with Factorial's FEST solid-state battery, traveling from Stuttgart to Malmö with energy to spare. The test validated quasi-solid electrolyte performance under real-world conditions.

• Modified EQS completed 1,205 km journey without recharging.
• 118 kWh pack achieved 450 Wh/kg at the cell level, offering 25% more range than comparable lithium-ion packs.
• Road testing began in February 2025 following lab validation.
