InteraXon launches Muse S Athena, a consumer headband pairing EEG with fNIRS
Muse released the S Athena headband at $474.99. Alongside EEG brainwave sensing it adds fNIRS, which measures blood oxygen in the frontal cortex. Its software rests on a brain model trained on more than 80,000 sessions, with training modes for eyes open and eyes closed.
