India's security cabinet approves about Rs 15,000 crore to build five AMCA stealth fighter prototypes

After years of deliberation, India's Cabinet Committee on Security funded the development of the AMCA fifth-generation fighter, with about five prototypes to be built within five years. ADA leads the design; the first version will use GE F414 engines, while a more powerful engine is to be developed with a foreign partner.
