Hyundai announced Metaplant Georgia, a $5.54 billion investment in Bryan, Georgia to build a dedicated EV factory. The facility was designed to produce 300,000 vehicles annually, ramping to 500,000, using the 800V E-GMP platform. Construction began October 2022; production started October 2024.
