Heart unveils the X1, a full-scale electric demonstrator for the ES-30
Heart unveiled the X1, a full-scale demonstrator for its 30-seat ES-30 hybrid-electric regional aircraft, built almost entirely in-house in Gothenburg with a 32-metre wingspan. After ground tests of charging, taxiing and turnarounds, the aircraft will make an all-electric first flight in Q2 2025.
- X1 demonstrator constructed almost entirely at Heart's Gothenburg facilities in Sweden
- First flight all-electric planned for Q2 2025, to be followed by pre-production X2 flying hybrid-electric in 2026
- ES-30 designed to fly 200 km fully electric, 400 km hybrid with 30 passengers, or 800 km with 25 passengers
- Development partly funded by Swedish Innovation Agency Vinnova
