HARMONi-6: ivonescimab plus chemo extends survival over tislelizumab plus chemo in squamous lung cancer
Summit TherapeuticsIvonescimab
Akeso's China phase 3 HARMONi-6 showed that ivonescimab plus platinum chemotherapy lengthened survival compared with the PD-1 antibody tislelizumab plus chemotherapy as first treatment for squamous lung cancer. The data were presented at the ASCO 2026 plenary and published in The Lancet. It is the first survival win for a PD-1 x VEGF bispecific against a PD-1 drug in a chemo combination.
- 532 patients; overall survival HR 0.66 (p=0.0017), median 27.9 vs 23.7 months.
- 24-month survival 64.7% vs 48.6%; benefit seen with and without PD-L1 expression.
- Serious treatment-related side effects 41.4% vs 34.3%; grade 3+ bleeding 2.6% vs 0.8%.
- Single-region trial in China, with data generated and analysed by Akeso.
