HARMONi-2 survival data: ivonescimab cuts risk of death by 27% versus Keytruda

At the 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer, investigators reported that ivonescimab alone extended overall survival compared with Keytruda alone in PD-L1-positive advanced lung cancer in the China HARMONi-2 trial. Median survival was 30.8 months versus 22.6 months. Survival was a key secondary endpoint; the trial had already won on progression-free survival.

• Overall survival HR 0.73 (95% CI 0.57–0.95; p=0.009), 234 deaths at the 20 Aug 2026 cutoff.
• Strongest benefit in squamous tumours (HR 0.65) and high PD-L1 (HR 0.58); several subgroup intervals cross 1.
• Serious treatment-related side effects 29.9% vs 21.6%; discontinuation 4.1% vs 5.0%.
• China approved ivonescimab for this population in April 2025.
